Paris 9e
Architect : Pauline Dhoop

We worked with architect Pauline D'hoop to create a series of custom furniture and modules for the 4-star Parisian hotel The Chess. A creative collaboration for a unique and neat decoration.

"Before our intervention, we noticed that the general atmosphere was too strict and impersonal. We wanted to bring more life and warmth to this hotel, by using natural materials such as rattan and cane, or corduroy," explains Pauline D'hoop. This architect redesigned the decoration of the hotel The Chess, located in the Opera district of Paris, with the objective of creating a warmer, livelier and more personal atmosphere. For this project, she called on Kann, whose activity consists in producing custom-made furniture and modules for living spaces such as hotels and restaurants.

These furniture and modules are made in our family workshop in Lebanon, by the same experienced craftsmen who make the rest of our collection. Originality and elegance prevail in this renovation, mainly through the use of wickerwork, which covers the headboards of the fifty rooms, the benches and some walls. Marble tables match the leather and brass of the bar.
