For the project Rhézome Faidherbe, a singular restaurant that hosts chefs in residence and has just opened its doors, the agency MUR.MUR rhymes space with rhizome. Lucie Rosenblatt and Benoît Huen, the duo of architects creators of MUR.MUR wished to call upon Kann to make custom furniture in solid oak and play on the declension of the same module. The chairs can thus become shelves of presentation when the low tables and the high chairs - around the convivial work plan - allow to unify the whole space, as if a rhizome had come to live the place.
To work on this space, which is punctuated by a dozen posts, Lucie Rosenblatt specifies that one of the inspirations was the Prairie style founded by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright: the posts are thought of as mushrooms and allow the creation of a circulation from the inside to the outside. The softness and unity brought by the oak of the furniture are both contrasted and supported by the solar yellow flooring. A beautiful case that highlights the expertise of Kann.
