For his new and second branch of the Seoul Mama restaurant in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, the chef Manoj Sharma surrounded himself with the architect Marine Castanier and Kann Design. The duo that Kann forms with Marine Castanier is not at its first achievement. "What I like about Kann is that we can work on both the interior arrangement and the furniture," says the architect.

If the name of the restaurant gives an indication on the nature of the dishes - of Korean inspiration, Marine Castanier did not wish to typify the space, but rather to create a link with the first branch of Seoul Mama, located in the 15th, by perpetuating a spirit of neighborhood canteen, very friendly. "I wanted a streamlined atmosphere, simple but not simplistic, with meaningful details." In the restaurant, there are two environments that come together. The first with the Tal chairs and custom benches, and the second, more after-work, materialized by the bar and the Galta high chairs on which we sit to drink cocktails.

What colors for this canteen spirit? The Tal chair in green-stained oak was a starting point for Marine Castanier. "I started with a colorimetry around green that I wanted to contrast with the terra cotta of the fabric and the leather laces of the benches, with black providing the graphic touch. A beautiful teamwork where the consistency of the whole is carried by the demanding editorial work of Kann.
