The Paume chair interprets the rustic chair using contemporary production techniques. The legs are made of square-profile cleats, three of those edges have been rounded. While the outside appears round, the remaining angle on the inside enables the seat to be assembled. The seat has been designed with an angle and curvature that matches the backrest, and the seat’s comfort is enhanced by the use of a cushion, adding the graphic signature so beloved of the Pool studio.

Pool Studio

Pool is a Paris-based design studio founded by Léa Padovani and Sébastien Kieffer.

Revealed at the Nouvelle Vague exhibition in Milan in 2011, Pool works in the fields of design, graphic design, art direction and interior architecture.

Whether it's the solid brass suspension collection for CVL, the Achille armchair for Théorème éditions or the famous Barrel aluminum desk acquired by Mobilier National in 2021, their expertise is evident in the detail of the objects they design. Most recently, Pool won the "Réenchanter la Villa Médicis" call for projects.

These different facets stimulate a multi-disciplinary approach to craftsmanship, present at every stage of a project.
